I am a visual artist based in Broome, North Western Australia.

The spirit of place in this remote Kimberley region where the land is ancient, mysterious and haunting never ceases to inspire me.

Here macro and microcosm are everywhere. Incredible patterns emerge over vast tracts of desert land. The enormous sky, strata of age old rock giving way to mudflats, exposed by tidal forces; for me this country resonates with history and speaks of a timeless past encompassing a deep connection with humanity.

Searching for a suitable medium for expression has led me to experiment widely and adopt medias ranging from oil on canvas, watercolour, sculpture, installation and mixed media. Working mainly in the abstract, the interface between texture, surface, line and form serves to communicate the layered meanings held within my work.
